The Crossmark Story
On May 15th, 1987, Jim Dobrzynski, Sr. opened the doors of Crossmark Graphics, Inc. With a single employee in a 6,000 sq. ft. facility in Cudahy, Wisconsin, Jim started the business with the goal of producing the highest quality in printed products and forming lasting relationships with his customers. Thirty years later, those two goals remain the foundation of our company.
The business began as a one-color and two-color shop and made multiple move expansions before calling our current location home. Jim purchased the 45,000 sq. ft. building with an eye toward the future as it had room for more equipment and the property allowed for future additions. New advanced presses, expanded prepress facilities, additional bindery equipment, new product offerings, an extensive fulfillment warehouse and a 21,000 sq. ft addition kept the level of services offered by Crossmark on the rise.
During the growth of Crossmark from a 6,000 sq. ft. small print shop to what it is now, Jim's family began to make their mark within the company. Today, three of his sons — Jay, Mark and Brian — head up operations, production and sales, and his daughter Tammy now serves as CEO and President.
Throughout the changes that the business has gone through, Jim's philosophy has remained constant. As he has often said, "If better is possible, good is not enough". High quality products plus a trustworthy process have been the key to success and will continue to be so as we move into the future.
